3 SEPTEMBER 2015 | INSPIRATIONS

I first came across Erin Morris on a junk in Hong Kong. She had pom poms in her hair and a wicked smile and she more than stood out from the crowd. Later, we met officially over a dinner in Shanghai and she has since given me many reasons to admire her. Together with her husband Jeremy, Erin is the force behind their family jewelry business David Morris. Established by his father, with a flagship on London’s Bond Street, their brand is known for creations that are as opulent as they are elegant and unique. You could say the same for Erin.  Irreverent but appropriate, she is wonderfully creative, a woman who speaks her mind, has a strong point of view and is simply so fun to be with. Here, she shares her musings on what she’s loving, wearing and dreaming of right now.

 I’m wearing…
mad milliner and good friend Piers Atkinson

I’m loving…
laser cut leather by Giles Deacon

I’m coveting…
the 1935 Van Cleef and Arpels rose gold watch that I found in the Burlington Arcade

I’m dreaming…
of wearing the Gilda shoe in our Mykonos home this summer as a sophisticated take on the goddess sandal

Or skipping…
to a party in the gorgeous Jardines sandal

I’m wishing…
I had bought the #getsmartbag for my new iPhone because it goes missing in any handbag I’m carrying approximately 20 times a day!

I’m inspired…
by 1940s and 19th Century jewelry and my brilliant husband

I’m led astray…
by my gorgeous girlfriends and pink champagne at the sumptuous bar in Claridges
